In fact, one of the authors of the aborted storyline has a thread running in the Bethseda Star Trek Legacy forums in order to explain what was supposed to be going on. It won't make any sense, because with the number of missions cut right down and the cinematics removed, there is no story to speak of. You will finish the single player missions in a day or two (maybe faster if you activate the mod that restored in-game save system that was obviously disabled to try and make the missions longer). The number of single player missions, multiplayer maps, multiplayer game modes, mission recorder, numbers of players, RPG elements, ship designer, ship upgrade system, modding tools, in game rendered cut-scenes, etc.
Many, many of the promised things have been cut.
Now I've had a chance to play the game (courtesy of a friend who's a Trek fan and obviously more optimistic that me) I thought I'd come here and write a quick review of what promised to be one of the best Trek games ever.įirst of all, this game has been rushed out for Christmas. Some of you may have seen my PC-centric contributions to this Star Trek: Legacy thread over in the console forum.
